    What You’ll Do

    IMA Wealth takes a consultative approach with our clients by providing individualized and objective advice from our experienced team of wealth management advisors. The Client Relationship Manager continuously expands the client base for IMA Wealth by building relationships with perspective clients throughout the community.


    General Job Duties for the Client Relationship Manager:

    • Create relationships with individuals with investable assets for themselves (or sometimes cash to invest on behalf of an organization or business).
    • Build relationships with clients by learning their hopes and aspirations in order to assist them with defining their financial goals.
    • Build up a book of business through networking, referrals, and reputation through the community.
    • At client's direction, follow up with accountants, attorneys, etc. to gather additional required data
    • Communicate client information effectively with implementation team so that portfolio management may be initiated promptly and in accordance with stated investment objectives
    • Maintains communication with current contacts to ensure client satisfaction, through written correspondence, telephone contact, account review meetings, etc.


    You Should Have:


    • 8+ years of similar experience in client services and/or outside sales within retirement planning or investment services industries
    • Bachelor's Degree preferred 
    • License requirements includes NASD Series 65 or NASD Series 66 (Registered Investment Advisor Combined Examination).
    • NASD Series 6 (Mutual Fund and Variable Contracts Representative) or 7 (General Securities Representative) and Series 63 (Uniform State Law Examination)
    • Life Insurance and Variable Contracts licenses are needed in order to be employed through the broker/dealer subsidiary to market company retirement plans
    • Requires basic mathematical skills, including ability to compute portfolio cost basis, asset allocation percentages, etc.
    • Ability to develop and maintain network of professional sources for business referrals
    • Strong written and oral communication skills
    • Independent and entrepreneurial spirit with the capability to lead a new market with limited direction 
    • Proven track record of obtaining new clients and retaining current business through strong relationship building skills
    • Also requires proficiency in personal computing skills (Microsoft Office Products, as well as investment management specific software packages such as Centerpiece)
    • The ability to travel as required
