What You’ll Do

The Billing Specialist is responsible for direct bill invoicing for all property and casualty divisions across the enterprise within a team environment.  

Essential job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Invoicing direct bill commission in both Sagitta and Epic
  • Verification of funds
  • Consistency in proper documentation to provide means for auditing and reconciliation
  • Following established processes and work flows
  • Meeting month-end finance deadlines and pacing production to ensure objectives are met
  • Resolving processing obstacles by utilizing problem solving and research techniques
  • Continually evaluating productivity and working with manager to minimize obstacles
  • Implementing EFT setup with carriers for direct bill commissions as requested
  • Assisting with other accounting/finance projects as needed

You Should Have:

  • Six months to two years of similar or related experience
  • Must have basic knowledge of finance and accounting
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; 2 year associates degree required
  • Competent at math, ten-key, and basic accounting skills
  • Strong customer service skills, including courtesy, tact, and diplomacy
  • Ability to communicate well and collaborate with individuals both inside and outside the organization
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to strictly follow processes and procedures
  • Strong prioritization skills
