What You’ll Do

As an Account Manager you will participate in a team coordinating and providing IMA services to our clients.  You will continually seek ways to improve knowledge and expertise through education including self‑study, courses and project work.

  • Service:  Client service, account retention and account management responsibility to include:  service requests that relate to claims, premiums and eligibility. Interfaces with clients, vendors and associates to solve issues relating to Employee Benefit programs.  Provide superior customer service to all external and internal clients with little guidance
  • Client Meetings:  Observes and participates in client and prospect meetings as required.
  • Technology:  Utilize agency management systems for daily activities.  Work with Account Executive to utilize claims analysis tools.
  • Marketing:  Participate in collection of data from client and carrier.  Assist in the RFP and Proposal process.
  • Renewal Process/Plan Implementation:  Coordinate renewal and enrollment process. Assist with enrollment meetings
  • Client Education:  Assist in training client on technology and resources available.

You Should Have:

  • Two+ years of similar or related experience
  • A Bachelor’s Degree or experience equivalent to a degree 
  • Excellent written and communication skills, and the ability to present and articulate complex issues in a clear and concise manner
  • Strong reasoning skills and the ability to analyze and interpret data and can clearly communicate ideas in a concise manner
  • The ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks while meeting deadlines
  • Demonstrated the commitment to work through projects to completion
  • The ability to be persuasive while maintaining good relationships
  • A high degree of tact and diplomacy with the ability to maintain confidentiality
  • A state Life and Health license (preferred) and will fulfill continuing education requirements to retain licensing
  • Strong computer proficiency with Microsoft Office products and other programs
  • The willingness to complete additional duties and take on additional responsibilities as the need arises
