What You’ll Do

The HR Business Partner provides leadership and partnership to Denver management and employees to deliver a spectrum of strategic and tactical HR support and programs, which are aligned with IMA’s strategic, financial and talent goals. This role takes ownership and accountability for key business departments and provides data and recommendations to guide decision-making related to compensation, organizational structures, retention, promotions, and other employee-related activities. The HRBP is a constant champion for IMA’s culture and core values.

 

Essential job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Talent Acquisition, Recruitment and Selection

  • Work with IMA’s Corporate Recruiter to ensure IMA’s employee recruitment and hiring practices attracts and selects the top talent across the nation
  • Interview candidates and perform Talent Challenge process when applicable
  • Perform New Hire Orientation for all new Denver associates and ensure applicable pre-employment and onboarding paperwork completion in the ATS
  • Drive engaging onboarding, orientation and transition practices
  • Perform recruiting/talent acquisition assistance as needed for Corporate Recruiter

Employee Relations and Culture Development

  • Ensure company values are communicated and understood at all levels, providing clarity for the behaviors expected of all employees to fully engage in a mission-driven, high performance culture
  • Lead risk management related to Denver personnel issues in collaboration with VP, Human Resources and General Counsel
  • Provide recommendations on ways to continuously improve the IMA people experience
  • When necessary, intervene, mediate, facilitate and/or represent IMA in conflict resolution or other matters of high risk to organization

HR Operations

  • Preparation and processing of appropriate documentation for any promotions, salary adjustments, title changes and transfers
  • Notify Corporate Benefits Administrator of any upcoming medical leaves or accommodations needed
  • Provide assistance to employees regarding any benefits questions
  • Assist Corporate HR Business Partner with performance evaluations and the annual compensation process (Salary & Bonus Administration)
  • Work with managers to write or revise and grade job descriptions as needed

 

You Should Have:

  • At least five to ten years of similar or related experience required
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • The ability to motivate or influence others is a material part of the job, requiring a significant level of diplomacy and trust. Obtaining cooperation (internally and/or externally) is an important part of the job.
  • Strong oral, interpersonal and presentation based communication skills with ability to speak in front of large or small audiences.
  • Demonstrated coaching and consulting skills with a solid track record of collaborating with executives and senior management in a geographically dispersed organization  
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and high quality standards
  • Experience with change management across diverse organizations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to “read” people and connect with various audiences; ability to mediate discussions and diffuse conflict.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to be clear, diplomatic and persuasive as required
  • Sound judgment, maturity, and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
