    What You’ll Do

    As an Intern you will be introduced to IMA and how we service our clients in our Commercial Lines Department.  You will have the chance to partner and rotate on multiple teams over the course of a 10-12-week program.    

     

    10-12 week full-time, paid summer internship, including:

    • A range of work assignments and professional exposure inside an insurance brokerage
    • Rotations on different teams within the Commercial Lines group for varied learning opportunities and skill development
    • Assignment to internal mentors as resources to guide you through your summer experience

    You will be asked to:

    • Perform research and analyze data
    • Attend business meetings and client meetings
    • Draft reports
    • Develop presentation materials
    • Develop and deliver a final presentation of your internship experience to senior management

    You Should Have:

    • Completed your Sophomore year and are in your Junior or Senior year of school
    • Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy as much of the work involves personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization, generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion
    • Strong math skills with the ability to carry out detailed written and oral instructions
    • Computer proficiency with multiple applications (i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook)
    • A willingness to complete additional duties and take on additional responsibility as the need arises
