What You’ll Do

As a Client Advisor you will actively partner with a team of IMA Select Associates in coordinating and providing topnotch services to educate and advise our commercial clients while meeting service standards and best practices developed by IMA Select.      

  • Responsible for daily account servicing and client advisement needs including but not limited to: handling client and insurance company inquiries, resolving coverage and premium discrepancy issues, maintaining accurate account information in agency management system, processing of endorsements, audits, certificates of insurance, and auto ID cards, etc.
  • Cultivate and maintain excellent communication and relationships with clients and insurance carriers.
  • Develop remarketing strategy in accordance with client servicing standards and market changes.
  • Responsible for managing renewal process on assigned book of business including preparation of pre-renewal summary, creating renewal applications and submissions, online quoting via carrier rating platforms, reviewing quotes and negotiating terms and premiums, preparing final quotes and proposals for delivery to client, binding coverage, and issuing renewal invoices, certificates, auto ID cards, etc. 
  • Participate in conference calls and/or periodic in-person client meetings to review insurance strategies and business operations.
  • Participate in cross-selling new lines of coverage or services on existing accounts.
  • Responsible for following up on accounts receivable items in accordance with IMA Accounts Receivable Policy.
  • Attend education classes in combination with individual study programs to expand technical coverage knowledge.  

 

You Should Have:

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills with ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently regarding matters of significance
  • Ability to manage more complex accounts
  • Ability to analyze insurance quotes and make recommendations
  • Knowledge of policy forms and endorsements
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Math skills required, involving familiarity with ratios, percentages, discounts, and commissions
  • Strong computer proficiency including Microsoft Office products
  • Minimum 2 years of similar or related experience
  • Property and Casualty license required for state of business
  • Must fulfill continuing education requirement to retain license
