What You’ll Do

IMA Select is adding a Personal Lines Producer to our growing team. IMA Select focuses on insurance solutions for small businesses and individuals. Through personal relationships with our clients and carriers, we offer coverages and pricing not commonly found with other brokers and agents.

 

Essential job responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Supports and demonstrates IMA’s core values 
  • Values and understands the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion among all IMA associates 
  • Prospects and qualifies new accounts which meet the IMA Select criteria 
  • Identifies target audience and builds a pipeline of prospects and centers of influence meeting that criteria 
  • Gathers and organizes appropriate information required to prepare marketing submissions to insurance carriers 
  • Enters key information into and updates the Agency CRM throughout the sales process 
  • Using a consultative sales approach, leads and conducts proposals for successful individuals and families 
  • Develops centers of influence and leads source partners through networking and marketing to realtors, mortgage brokers, wealth managers, financial planners, community involvement, etc. 
  • Responsibility for the overall growth of individual book of business through new and existing client relationships 
  • Develops an annual business plan to meet the established premium and revenue goals as established with market leader 
  • Develops into a trusted advisor to educate and advise clients and prospects 
  • Identifies and coordinates cross selling opportunities within IMA 
  • Maintains professional conduct and manner that represents IMA and IMA Select in the community

You Should Have:

Required Experience and Skills include but are not limited to: 

  • 2-5 years of insurance or sales related experience preferred 
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred 
  • Excellent communication skills for sales presentation and client relationship building 
  • Self-driven and with a strong motivation to succeed 
  • Willingness and aptitude to learn the business and become knowledgeable in personal insurance 
  • Confident self-starter who works well independently 
  • Demonstrates persistence and resilience through challenges and objections to achieve goals 
  • Ability to identify and overcome sales obstacles on a prospect specific basis 
  • Negotiation and persuasion skills are necessary for this position 
  • Willing to travel as needed 
  • Current Property and Casualty and/or Employee Benefits license is a plus
