What You’ll Do

Sinclair Risk & Financial Management (An IMA Company) is looking for dynamic leaders who want an authentic team experience to support their efforts to expand our ever-growing client base.

The sales position requires advanced communication skills and a thorough knowledge of insurance products available through the agency. Capable of pursuing and closing sales of new and existing commercial and benefits accounts. The primary focus of this position is to sell and renew insurance to companies in the Northeast region.

  1. Identifies a target industry and/or market segment to focus network building, prospecting and development of specialized knowledge and expertise on common coverage situations, industry trends and upcoming developments in Group Benefits impacting target clients
  2. Provide and initiate quality professional service to Employee Benefits accounts to identify and eliminate gaps in coverage and/or non-compliance of employee benefit laws.
  3. Provide in-house customer service to clients as assigned and requested.
  4. Prepare and update account summaries as required
  5. Coordinate 5500 filing process with the HR team
  6. Track and manage all activities on account policies and benefits program ensuring deadlines are met and prompt resolution
  7. Input and maintain all activities, documentation and client information in network systems in a timely and accurate manner
  8. Provide clear direction to other team members assisting on assigned accounts
  9. Manage day-to-day client relationships and renewal process

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Researching information necessary for preparation of bid specifications; gather the information needed for renewals, and new business.
  2. Request bids from carriers for large group carriers; follow-up on receipt of proposals and verify that they need bid specifications.
  3. Conduct educational open enrollment presentations to clients in person.
  4. Self-insurance experience is a must
  5. Shop and analyze products for small group renewals.
  6. Proactively identifies and coordinates cross-selling opportunities with other sales units at Sinclair
  7. Make recommendations to regarding quotes, ideas, issues, needing to be addressed.
  8. Prepare proposals, renewal presentations and compliance documents for new and renewal groups.
  9. Deliver renewal presentations.
  10. Administer employee enrollments, changes, COBRA enrollments with the account management team.
  11. Set-up and maintain client files.
  12. Document service issues and meetings/phone calls with client. Also document conversations and follow-up on problems with clients.
  13. Proof booklets and contracts for accuracy; report inaccuracies to the insurance carriers for correction and reprinting.
  14. Research claims, enrollment and billing inquiries for clients upon request.
  15. Do special projects as determined by manager and/or supervisor.

You Should Have:

  1. 1+ years of sales or related experience
  2. Ability to consistently display a proactive, positive client focus and demonstrate a dedicated sense of urgency in serving their interests.
  3. Active Life and Health license
  4. Applied EPIC knowledge
