What You’ll Do

 

  • Manages existing client relationships with moderate guidance by processing client requests, resolving client inquiries, and making sure key client information is up to date
  • Schedules, prepares for, and facilitates presentations. Presentations may include enrollment meetings, financial education meetings, and plan reviews with the committee, etc. as requested by the plan sponsor
  • Works with Retirement Plan Advisor to provide strategic recommendations & implementation of plan enhancements, including but not limited to vendor selection & conversions, plan design optimization, plan fee benchmarking, compliance oversight, and investment due diligence
  • Demonstrates knowledge concerning ERISA laws & guidelines for the retirement plan industry
  • Drives client retention by delivering annual plan reviews and initiating proactive client contact
  • Promotes new products and services to plan sponsors
  • Engages in available training and educational opportunities to stay current on the industry trends as well as internal policies and procedures
  • Supports and demonstrates IMA’s core values

You Should Have:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 7+ years related experience in the retirement plan industry required
  • Life Insurance and Variable Contracts licenses (required for group annuity products), required to obtain within 30-90 days of hire, unless already licensed 
  • Attains and maintains FINRA Series 7 & 66 (S63 & S65 acceptable as well) strongly preferred
  • AIF designation is preferred
  • Limited travel required (less than 25%)
  • Intermediate MS Office products required (specifically PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel)
